Who can access bulk payments in Santander bank

To make bulk payments via Santander, you require one of the following bank accounts:

• Business account
• Corporate account

How to send bulk payments with Santander bank

1. Log into Santander Connect.
2. Open the ‘Payments’ tab and select ‘Bulk payments’.
   
   1. If you're looking to upload a file, go to 'File Upload' and 'Upload New'. Full details here.
3. On the Payments overview page, click ‘New Payment’.
4. Select ‘Bulk’ under the domestic payment options.
5. Select the recipients you want to pay and click 'Next' to continue.
6. Select the debit account, payment date, payment type, and debit reference. Then click ‘Next step’ to continue.
7. Enter the payment amount and credit reference for each recipient. To save time, use the ‘Update all’ option to copy and paste the reference from the first recipient. Click ‘Next step’ to continue.
8. Review the payment details and check the approvers. When everything looks good, click ‘Confirm’.
9. Next, authorise the payment so that Santander can process your bulk payment.

What you can't do with Santander bank

Payment restrictions

• You can't send bulk international payments: You can only send to UK-based GBP accounts.
• Business accounts can't send more than £100,000 per payment
• Corporate accounts can't send more than £250,000 per payment

Limitations when creating payments

• Payment file uploads are not available for all users: To upload a payment file into Santander, you must be subscribed to Santander Connect Plus.

Limitations when sending payments

• Bulk payments cannot be processed same-day on non-working days: Only single Faster Payments are processed same-day during these times.
• There is a cut-off time: You need to have created and authorised your bulk payment by 3:55pm for it to be sent the same-day from your account.
